ELERTS begins Important New Relationship with LINSTAR

Major security systems integrator adds ELERTS to company’s solutions portfolio.

JULY 22, 2013, BUFFALO, NEW YORK – ELERTS Corp. is teaming up with LINSTAR, a very highly regarded and trusted solutions provider within the law enforcement, emergency management, campus safety and Homeland Security communities. The pairing is anticipated to be immensely beneficial and productive, owing to the two companies’ kindred philosophies.

Incorporating ELERTS into their product line means that LINSTAR customers will have a powerful new tool to augment security. The ELERTS public safety communications system centers around the ELERTS app. Using this app, people can report criminal or suspicious activities to authorities, with their smartphone. These reports can include a text description, photo and GPS location. Authorities can broadcast safety and security information to app users.

Mary Jo Cornell, President & CEO of LINSTAR is enthusiastic about the partnership. “We’ve witnessed an increased need for video surveillance and recording, but our customers have been suffering from reduced budgets and funding. LINSTAR is constantly on the lookout for new technologies to help our customers improve security with reduced resources. When we found ELERTS, I immediately knew that it would be a perfect compliment to LINSTAR’s solutions portfolio.”

“ELERTS and LINSTAR have similar passions for delivering innovative and best-of-breed security solutions,” says CEO of ELERTS, Ed English. “We look forward to working with LINSTAR and their team of security systems experts.”

One of the most exciting features of the ELERTS solution is the Attention Engine for CCTV option, which won the Honorable Mention at this year’s Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase. This option allows Security to find and focus on the surveillance camera(s) nearest an active security incident by using the GPS location from the smartphone that has sent an incoming incident report.

“This new tool will revolutionize the way that our corporate, campus and public safety directors manage their security operations,” states Cornell. “And it will maximize their investment in existing video surveillance infrastructure.”

Founded in 1998, LINSTAR is a security systems integrator in high demand. Headquartered in Buffalo, New York, LINSTAR designs, installs and supports systems for ID; access control; CCTV, IP and portable video surveillance; license plate recognition and analytics; emergency communications and mass notification; visitor screening and tracking; and automated emergency/incident command. With offices across NY state, LINSTAR’s claim to fame is responsive, same day, on-site service.

ELERTS Corp. was founded in 2010 by a life-long First Responder and provides security departments with a safety communications system centered around the ELERTS smartphone app. Smartphone users can use the app to send an incident report to Security. Security receives these reports in real-time, enabling a rapid response. ELERTS is available to schools, corporations, hospitals, stadiums, governments and municipalities and many other kinds of agencies. ELERTS Corp. is a privately held company, based in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
