ELERTS Technology Helps Keep Airport Restrooms Clean and Orderly and Working Properly Across America
ELERTS is a leader in mobile incident-reporting software technology for airports, mass transit, and cities.
Throughout North America, the ELERTS platform, and its easy-to-use mobile reporting tools, empowers, enables, and improves “See Something Say Something” reporting. Our mobile technology is used to quickly report safety and customer service issues to authorities who can take action and respond to problems.
Among the environments where ELERTS renders exceptional value and ensures a positive and safe experience are airport restrooms.
Of course, across every area of society, every business, every institution, fundamental to a healthy and pleasant experience is the condition and maintenance of restrooms.
This is surely the case in airports.
Airport administration endeavors to provide air travelers, often tired and harried and hungry, with spaces and venues that are well-kept and orderly and safe, and also where excellent hospitality, retail, and entertainment are located.
Breaking from years past, more and more … and increasingly … enjoyable and fun time is spent at airports.
Central and essential to a positive airport experience are restrooms.
And during a time of pandemic, the importance of keeping a restroom clean and working is greatly heightened.
Empty paper towel and soap dispensers, clogged sinks, broken hand dryers, and spills on the floor are annoying and unhealthy and a safety hazard.
ELERTS “restroom reporting” technology, and its use, keep restrooms washed and stocked — and working.
(ELERTS just had to mention here that one of our clients, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport [SEA], was named a finalist in the 2019 “America’s Best Restroom” contest, an annual competition that Cintas Corporation launched in 2000 and has run for 20 consecutive years. ELERTS hopes that we help even just in some small part, to SEA earning this distinction again in the future.)
“What airports and their passengers and employees find especially valuable about the ELERTS platform is its versatility and ease of use,” said Ed English, ELERTS CEO. “For example, about 10 percent of the 35,000 employees of Denver International Airport (DEN), an ELERTS client, have the See Say Airport app on their phone, and can use it to report an issue anywhere in the airport, including restrooms.
“But we understand that most travelers — and consider even if you flew just once a week you would be identified as a frequent flier – may not wish to take a few minutes to download the app. With ELERTS technology, though, travelers don’t have to use the app to make a report. In the restrooms at the airport there are listed a text-a-tip number and a QR code to scan, both which can be used to submit a report. People can text a message with a photo of the problem. Or a person can scan a QR code which is printed on the mirrors in the restroom, and a form pops up and the individual punches in some information, and can include a photo. In all cases, the report includes the location of the restroom affected and goes immediately to the airport maintenance department.”
ELERTS will soon unveil even more versatility and utility in its See Say Airports app and restroom reporting technology.
Please stay tuned and return here for announcements.
