ELERTS Wins Award at International Security Conference & Exhibition in April
May 17, 2013
The ELERTS product, ELERTS EPIC with CCTV Attention Engine, won at the Security Industry Association’s 2013 New Product Showcase (NPS), taking the Honorable Mention in the Convergence and Integrated Software and Solutions Award at the NPS awards ceremony at The International Security Conference & Exposition (ISC West) on April 10, 2013.
ELERTS is a smartphone communications system that includes a cloud-based console to manage incoming safety and security reports from persons using the ELERTS smartphone app. CCTV Attention Engine (CAE) integrates with popular Video Management Systems (VMS). When installed, CAE defines a “Field of View” database entry for each surveillance camera deployed by a campus or facility. This database stores information about the location of each camera and where each camera can see. After receiving an incident report from an ELERTS smartphone app user, CAE uses that smartphone’s GPS to locate the cameras closest to the incident. CAE then sends a command to the VMS, to direct security’s attention to these cameras, so they can see the incident as it is happening.
“Each year, the companies competing in SIA’s New Product Showcase at ISC West present the leading-edge security solutions that are shaping the industry,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “These new technologies and solutions are the drivers that are moving the security industry forward, and I congratulate ELERTS Corp. on their win at this year’s NPS.”
Since its inception in 1979, the NPS has been the security industry’s premier awards-based marketing program. This year’s NPS Program had 84 entries from 66 companies.
The Security Industry Association is the leading trade association for electronic and physical security solution providers.
