ELERTS Lock It Down and ELERTS EPICenter interface with
the Lenel® OnGuard® access control and video platform

Weymouth, MA. August 7, 2014 — ELERTS Corporation announced today that it has received factory certification from Lenel Systems International and joined the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.

ELERTS Lock It Down™ and ELERTS EPICenter™ are app-driven cloud-based solutions that interface with the OnGuard® access control and video surveillance platform to improve school, college, corporate and hospital safety.

The Lock It Down system includes a smartphone app that connects teachers and administrators directly with local police, enabling them to communicate real-time information about an active shooter or other security incident. Authorized users can initiate a Lockdown, Evacuation or Shelter in Place with the push of a button. Users may also send and receive real-time alerts accompanied by text, photo and a GPS map. When interfaced with OnGuard®, Lock It Down can electronically lock doors and selectively disable swipe cards.

As a result, educators are informed and empowered throughout volatile situations, especially during the first critical minutes when they are often isolated and waiting for help. ELERTS is a Partner in Safety with the ALICE Training Institute, which, as the nation’s first platform for active shooter preparation, has instructed more than a million educators and corporate executives in situational response. Information channeled through Lock It Down follows the tenets of Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate.

EPICenter is ELERTS’ management console for crowdsourced reports and for sending alerts. With EPICenter, video surveillance cameras are geographically mapped for later correlation to a smartphone user’s location. Lock It Down crowdsources security threats from the public (teachers) and then triggers an event in the OnGuard system. Consequently, security dispatchers can quickly identify the incident location and respond faster.

ELERTS has completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard. “ELERTS augments access control systems with mobile security and brings geolocation capability to video cameras through its app solutions,” said Gidon Lissai, director of strategic alliances, Lenel. “We look forward to ELERTS’ continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”
“This certification allows us to offer a new level of security sophistication to our mutual customers, regardless of their size or business segment,” said Ed English, CEO of ELERTS Corporation. “While our emphasis is on providing and sharing information, the OnGuard system helps people take that information and do something with it.”
